the breakfast buffet, i think, was a dream, a beautiful start each morning. the pool was just so perfect for the children, i swear i could see the joy dancing in their eyes. our apartment, such a spacious haven, it gave us room to breathe, space for tender moments.

some noise drifted in from the hallway, sometimes a crying child. it was a little thing, but it stirred the peace. the pillows, though soft, were perhaps a bit too thick for my liking, like sleeping on a cloud that's a little too high.
